Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited British Prince Charles to visit Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited British Prince Charles to visit Pakistan in preparation for the 75th anniversary of Pak-UK diplomatic relations.

PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari met British Prince Charles in London and conveyed a message of goodwill from the Prime Minister. Zulfi Bukhari invited Prince Charles to visit Pakistan on behalf of Prime Minister Imran Khan and said that Pakistan and the United Kingdom are close friends and long standing partners. Charles and his wife Camilla are looking forward to visiting Pakistan.

Prince Charles thanked for the invitation and said that the UK was grateful to the Government of Pakistan for the safe evacuation of British citizens and diplomatic staff from Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan has historical relations with the United Kingdom. The Prince of Wales also appreciated Pakistan’s positive role in promoting peace and stability in the region. Prince Charles also lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts to tackle climate change and said that Pakistan’s positive role in global affairs under Imran Khan’s leadership has been appreciated.

Prince William and his wife Kate also visited Pakistan last year.
